What makes these dentures special?
While All-on-4 dentures at Kersey Dental look like conventional dentures, they are designed differently. Unlike standard removable ones, these dentures are held in place by implants. Each implant is secured in the jawbone, and it replaces the tooth root. Just as natural roots support the teeth, implants stabilize the denture. Why is it called “All-on-4”?

What are the benefits of All-on-4?
Dentures that rely on implants for their stability help to keep the jawbone healthy and strong. Standard dentures are not connected to the underlying bone. As a result, the jawbone shrinks over time. This can alter the shape of the jaw and, in turn, the fit of the denture. To prevent traditional dentures from becoming loose and uncomfortable, they require ongoing adjustments, such as relining and rebasing. Eventually, they need to be replaced.
With good care, All-on-4 dentures can fit well for the rest of your life. Destructive bone loss is avoided, and your jaw retains its shape. The denture continues to conform well to the surrounding tissues. Comfort, function, and satisfaction with the implant denture are not compromised.
How long does it take to get an All-on-4 denture?
All-on-4 dentures are also convenient. Because extractions, implants surgery, and the placement of a temporary prosthesis may all be done in one appointment, All-on-4 is sometimes called “teeth in a day.” This is a little bit of a misnomer. Once placed, the implants must still integrate with the jawbone – a process that can take several months. There is no shortcut with this step in treatment. Once the implants have healed and are effectively a part of the jaw, we can then replace your temporary with your “forever” denture.
